Hi Kitty ...I second Web's post! Take care of yourself...glad to hear your hand is healing....so sorry that your dad is struggling....I've been there....I know it is a hard transition.
Three pounds is so little in the scheme of things...you will be OK...hang in there

I agree with Deanna. He looks like a beautiful girl. He is gorgeous and talented, but not sure that was a wise business move, as it may limit his sales. I think he should have done a cool rocker cover with a touch of beautiful.

| Sunshine, the two of the Teavana Mates... the Mate Vana and Samarai Chai Mate. The Samaria Chai is kick butt... delicious! But it has too much caffeine for me, since I am sooooo caffeine sensitive. However, I have to say, that these teas did NOT give me the jitters at all. I did, though, get a headache from it. I would suggest trying the Mate Vana (or whatever strikes your fancy ). So if you aren't THAT caffeine sensitive, it is a wonderful replacement for coffee without the jitters.

like Lupicia...they have stores in malls and ship everywhere and
they send you lots of samples once you are a customer

Here's my non-fat chat for today!
Saturday I decided to go for some red highlights in my blond, blond, blond hair. My hair dresser and I thought it would be pretty. Once we took the foils out and washed my hair we noticed... this ain't red!!! My hair was plumb purple.. OUCH! No big deal, we decided to cover it up with light brown all over my hair and that did NOT work!! Then we got the bright idea to bleach the red-purple out! To my astonishment, my hair turned HOT pink! You'ld think bleach would strip out all the color! WRONG!!! by this point my hairdresser was freaking out and I was laughing non-stop in disbelif. She took out the burben and poured us a drink (my 1st time trying it).... Once we calmed down we colored it a dark dark dark brown and prayed that my hair would not fall out! That seemed to do the trick but now NOBODY recognizes me.. haha! I've never had such dark hair before and it still shocks me when I look in a mirror! I'm just happy to have hair still, even though it's rough and coarse and not shinny and silky like it has been my WHOLE life ;)
I just felt like sharing my crazy hair story. I'm typically a person who likes to play it safe and not do anything to drastic... OPPS!

Jodice...Web and I have dark hair but had a similar pink/purple hair stories when we tried to color!! We tried everything and even Clairol's helpline's suggestions did not work...we had to overdye too!!! Yikes!! Web even has a photo on this site to show her "disaster"...too bad you did not take pictureslol
Glad you have such a positive attitude about the whole episode!! Way to go Girl!

HAHAHA.. Green hair rocks!~ You know, I thought about taking pictures once we were all done.. darn.. It would of been funny to look back on!
I am naturally sandy blond and for a few years I started putting lighter blond in it... don't think I'll try the reba mcintire look anymore

Jodice - I can totally relate! I don't know if you read... back a little before you joined... what I did to my hair (I think the end of September). I think the picture is still up on this thread. But I was going for purple and it turned out hot pink.  I just dyed it brown again and it still has pink highlights. My hairdresser said it takes about 3 months for the pink color to totally get out. SO meanwhile I am just waiting until Christmas so I can put blonde streaks back in my dark hair. Ugggh! I get bored easily and like changes, but this time I went a little overboard, I think.  But it's all in fun, and the good thing is that if we don't like it, we can change it (and hopefully, like you said, our hair won't fallout!).

Jodice...what a story!....In July I was in Katmandu after 2 months of travel and I had white, grey and brown roots coming
out of my reddish brown hair....It looked confusing...so I told them to dye it alburn...their English was not so hot so it was translated to fire engine red....My husband laughed and said
"far-out"...I was not amused......the trip continued onto Europe and by the time I left Portugal it had turned blond. Crazy thing
is that I seem to be getting all this attention over it...Men half
my age ask me to coffee...seems like a combination of less weight and blond hair is having an effect......I told this guy at
the open market who asked me to lunch that I was old enough
to be his grandmother so, was he looking for a mother or did he
think I was rich?...he said both. Someone told me that when you
are blond people expect less from you...could it be that I am now
perceived as a bimbo and therefore more approachable? I am contemplating making it ash brown with tons of blond streaks
as a compromise. And Web I had purple hair once but it didn't
go with enough of what I wore and it turned orange after a while.

I thought I was the only one with a PURPLE HAIR STORY and now I am beginning to think that all women who have colored their hair have had this happen...could it be?
In college I knew a girl who regularly bleached her hair almost white blonde. One day she left the bleach on too long while she was studying or on the phone and by the time she realized what time it was...her hair had softened and expanded and looked like spaghetti noodles(for real!!) and she got into the shower and all her hair came off at the roots. She had to wear hats or scarves until she has a "Twiggy length"!!! That is the very worse hair color story I have ever personally seen!

Deanna - Hi there! It is the opposite with me as I have lots of purple & black clothing, so it really went with my wardrobe! hehehe But because it was bleached underneath, it fades and my hair gets reddish and reddish blondish shades the more I wash it. Funny about the guys and blondes. I don't know what is with that, but I have always loved having darker shades of hair, and my sister is blonde. I think they may get more attention, but it doesn't bother me one bit. I wouldn't want a shallow guy anyways. Blondes get a bad rap (although I do know several that fit the mold! hehehe)

Deanna... that was a good story :) I've only been a brunette for 5 days so far but I can tell a difference.. Men no longer stare or try to hit on me (which is good, b/c that includes the nasty, dirty, perverted type men too) But I notice even the good attention is gone.. For example, I went to 7-11 this morning and it was POURING rain so was running through the parking lot to get to the front door... I was almost there and this man stepped out infront of me, looked at me and slowly opened the door for HIMSELF, not even holding it open for me after he walked in... He saw me running through the rain to get inside... selfish meany-head!!!
I can't wait to be back to my natural self ;) In 2-3 months!!
Webfairy, I saw those pics.... that was great! I so wish I had my camera that day

Hi Jodice...just note that the same people that treat you poorly as a brunette are the ones that faun over you as a blond.....perhaps that attention and seeming politeness that you miss is not as "nice" a thing as it seems. Remember that when are back to your natural state again and you find them holding the door for you but not the dark haired or gray haired woman behind you...because those ladies that get snubbed may be US!!

Thanks SS! I'm actually enjoying be brown now :) PLUS I have bigger issues now!
Soooo, I'm am afraid I might be pregnant AGAIN! I wish I knew what was causing this.. haha~ Just as I started losing weight and fitting into my pre-baby clothes...
I just had a baby 6 months ago!! I'm extremly nervous and bacon is making me sick to my tummy! I'll keep you posted.. IF i am then I'll be more than happy to have  and  and  and if i'm real hungry I could have a

| Speaking of babies... Lilah got her Christmas picture done the other day and I went online and uploaded it and had it made into postage stamps to put on my Christmas cards this year! They are actual postage stamps, approved by the United States Postal Service. They are so cute! I put "Lilah's 1st Christmas" on the bottom of the stamp. I can't wait to get them! What a special memory. I texted my daughter to tell her what I did, and she texted me back "Oh mom, you are over the top!". Yes I am... about my Lilah! I will have to save one for her baby book. When they come I will take a picture and show you all. I have this picture as my desktop background at work and at home, as well as a copy on my desk. I still can't get enough of that sweet little angel. =)
