Weigh-in: 118 lbs
Don't ask me how this is possible. I have no idea. Just suddenly I was down two pounds, despite eating a piece of pizza the night before. I thought it was water weight but I've stayed at 118 the past few days. I'm still waiting for it to go back up...

Isn't that horrible how we think it's going to go back up all the time. It's like we tell ourselves that just so we won't be disappointed if it does go back up.
I have faith in us.....WE CAN DO IT......

awesome work!
ive had that happen before too...sometimes it could just be water weight sticking to you a bit and then it's gone. and sometimes if you eat something, it'll help boost your metabolism a bit. so it's always a plus to not restrict yourself from eating completely-just look what happened for you!! :)
i cant wait til i start hitting my goals :)
ps. happy monday all

Hi. I'm here with head hung low. I finally got on scale after two weeks of Hurricane Gustav stress eating. I need to revise my numbers, please. Starting weight 179 (yep, up 11#) so new goal weight will be 165. Suffice it to say my Gustav gut, that's what I'm calling it, is being worked off.
Thanks, DG

Weigh in, 170 no loss, no gain.
I started weight trining this month and even though my weight has stayed the same I have lost 2 inches off my waist and an inch off each thigh. So, 4 inches lost so far this month, that's gotta count for somthing

Stats are updated to this point.
Congrats to christyandmuddy for meeting your goal!
We're doing great, everyone! Congrats to everyone who has lost, as well as to those who have not, but are not giving up! Congrats to those, too, who have not lost weight, but have lost inches.
Welcome to the challenge, Mol and Patchers!
Cindy, I just know that you'll hit 120. You've worked so hard, and I can't wait to turn you red.
DeterminedGal, you can do it! We all go through things in our lives that can cause us to fall off the wagon, for a time. The key to making our weight loss journeys successful long-term is to get back on and keep going. Kudos to you!
I'm adjusting my goal, too, to 215.
Good luck and great job, everyone!

Wow. A challenge.
199 is actually my end of the year goal. Getting down to 200 by the end of next month would require unbelievable commitment, along with a required constant sense of happiness and go-gettedness.
You know, I met my weight loss goal early in each of the two prior challenges. I've noticed that I tend to work less hard after I've done this. Perhaps this is subconscious, and I don't realize it.
All right, Cindy. I accept the challenge! I'll adjust my goal to 199. This means I will need to make two changes:
1.) On Sundays, I will need to limit the junk. I still need to eat more calories on this day, and I can still have a small treat, but I need to practice true moderation.
2.) You might see me upping my official cardio session to 2 hours daily rather than 1.5. I might even give this crazy elliptical another go, and use it for my extra 30 minutes. Or...I might just go back to walking on the treadmill for 90 minutes.
Some of you might have noticed that I try to set goals that are reasonable, but allow me to be a little bit of a bad boy some of the time. I'm going to try to be an angel until October 31st.
Great job, all!

Good morning. Looks like a lot of you are doing fantastic some even upping thier goals! This is so great to watch and to be part of.
Not a great week for me but still a loss. I am at 150.7 which is down .4. I'll have to kick it up this week to get back on track.

| Still at 140 lb despite restarting my walking/swimming/work out video programme and eating more sensibly. Maybe my thyroid level has gone on the blink. Tomorrow the doctor again - groan!!

Don't feel bad, I know how you feel. Just had my cholesterol done this morning, and now am waiting patiently to find out the results. Thank goodness my thyroid has been the same for over 6 months now.
I feel your pain, it's very hard to lose any weight when dealing with a thyroid condition. So, hang in there....it will get better.
Hey, the up side is at least you don't have to fast before a thyroid test...

Ok, I have thought about this and thought about it. Should I put down my weight for today. Cause, I had a little bit of a pig out today and my weight might be up tomorrow for weigh in. So, what do you all think.....
The reason I want to put todays weigh in down is that I will have to keep it down to that next week. If I put a high mark down tomorrow, then I have more to work with, and not in a good way.
Does that make sense? Anyway, what do you guys think I should do?

I say put it down today... cause by next week any damage you've done today will all be evened out.
Even though it's not my official weigh-in day I'm putting mine down just because I'm excited... 146.8!!! My weight is rarely down after a long weekend so I try to make it up during the week... but that's 1 lb!

Woah...I weighed myself this morning, and I was definitely 196 pounds, meaning that I've lost four for this week. After the disaster that was last week (all right, it wasn't that horrible, but still pretty bad), I didn't think I had it in me, but there ya' go...

Sorry forgot to post my Monday update. Work flipped my nights schedule to a days schedule over the weekend and I am not sure what day it is anymore.
CW: 150 (+1.4lbs)
Not sure what brought this on. I was very careful to adjust my eating with the new schedule and worked out 4 days last week.

Bert, 101?!? Why, you've lost a few Dalmatians.
Great job, everyone! We've lost over 100 pounds together so far!
Congrats to everyone who has lost, and kudos to those who haven't but are still plugging along!

I'm going to post my weight at 143 today. Yesterday it was 148, then today it was 142 mid-day, and now it's 145.
So, I guess 143 is my best estimate.
Keep it up!

Ah man! So close to the green! I just need to stick out my tongue and I'll be there! Tomorrow morning is my official weigh in day, so I'll get it down then. Great job everyone!
And butterfly, if I were you I would take the least I weighed in a day, and use that as my base.. not only should it be more accurate, but it looks better too!

Hey butterfly, I know what you mean about the daily changes. I have found a way (actaully found it on someones post in on antoher thread) anyway... I weight myself every day and record it then once a week(Tuesday for me) I average those numbers and that number is what I consider is my gain/loss for the week. It really helps me deal with the daily flucutations without over reacting. I find for me 2 pounds in a day one way or the other is not unusual but the weekly average really helps me and I think it is a true relection of where my weight is. Anyway just a thought.
