| I'm am 16 years old, about 5'2 or 5'3 and 160something lbs. I don't really know how I got like this, my mother has always been skinny, my father always was and up to the day he died very tall and thin, same for my sister and brother. I guess I kinda always have been an over-eater but for a while now I don't think I really have been. Mostly because my stomach starts to ache, or tell me it's full, when eating. But yet I just cant lose weight. I am so un-happy with my body and I seriously have the lowest self-esteem ever. Maybe if I lost a bunch of weight then I'd be happier. My mom lost A LOT of weight when my dad died back in April, she didn't quit eating but shes now the perfect size, what I would like to be. I was just wondering what I need to do to achieve this??

Welcome!
One thing to remember is that weight loss doesn't always mean a huge jump in self-esteem. Work on loving yourself, not your body!
As for losing weight, there's a ton of information all over and healthy eating and exercise. Are you exercising? Can you walk to school or walk the dog or take up running?
Also, if you need, I'd be willing to be a diet buddy or something! I've been trying to lose weight as well -- 17 years old, 5'8", about 180 pounds.
