trying to lose weight

just started last week with my 20 min, of cardio. eating better ,drinking coffee before i excercise this is my 2nd week havent lost any weight yet . i know its early but always want to see results im currently at 235 im 5 ft 9 so dont know how many calories i should be consuming during the day. i know when i go to work now i have more energy then i used to i know 20 min, isnt much but im sweating very much when im done currently using an elliptical and hit the weights when im done for 5 to 10 minutes.dont know if im doing enough or not but im trying ,just to switch it up i was on treadmill today for 40 minutes much easier workout then elliptical any idea if im doing things right ,in morning i drink my coffee  do my workout  go to work after 2 hours i take a break and then eat my breakfast try to stay away from suger produts thanks for any advice.  steve

If you're willing to count (or estimate) calories, I'd aim for 1800, or if you're looking for a range, 1800-2100.
