I have been on a 1200 calorie well balance diet since may 26th 2008. I am loosing weight faster than I thought I would. I am healthy, I don't feel weak and I have great muscle tone showing through. I work out about 1.5hr per day 6 days a week burning about 500+ calories in working out alone. I have lost to date 43 pounds (in 100 days). Since 8/18 I have notice my weightloss slowed down but it has picked back up again it could have been related to that mthly girl thing

Now that I weigh less do I need to adjust my 1200 and up it? My Dr is saying this is still ok. What I show overall is:

+In: 1200

-Burning:2850 (I log the gym alone around 500+ calories burned) so the rest must be moving about my normal day at home/ kids/ chores?

-Deficit:1650

She says this is good and it is working because I am sticking with a well balance /low calorie diet (with a little cheat here and there:tongue:). I am putting my metabolism back to where it was (it was very fast 15.5 yrs ago) I was one of those people who could eat just about anything and never gain weight until I had my 2nd child.

Now, I don't feel hungry and when I do I eat (unless it is after 8pm). Just wondering though even if I am healthy is that too much of deficit? She says eveyone looses weight at different speeds and I am ok but I DON'T KNOW??

Any advice /opinions?

Thx,

jen:horse:

I guess if I was you, I would look into some of the calculators on here. They are really useful as far as telling you how much is to much and when you not taking in enough calories. They also, tell you the stuff you need to know about exercise and how many calories you need for your body just to make it through the day.

Hope this helps....
