hello !
Anybody heard about the red tea diet ? It's announced a weight loss of 7 pounds in 5 days and then going in losing but introducing some more proteins and dairy products.
This sounds easy but did someone tried it ?

Doesn't sound that healthy. Funny how everyone looks for the quick fix instead of the long haul

Well, I suppose it's because everyone wants to see results as fast as possible. It's always good to see that there is a weight loss when starting a diet.
Sometimes people give up because they don't see a result.

Hellrazor is right. Short-term success is great, but long-term success is what matters most.

I tried the oolong tea after the big hoopla about it on Oprah, but after long hours of reading about tea, pretty much all tea is made out of the same family of plant. The only difference is how it is prepared which determines the caffeine, flavor and oxident levels. It doesn't matter if it is green tea, black tea, red tea, white tea...it is all the same.
Some research indicates it may help with weightloss indirectly b/c of the caffiene and engery levels or the fact you may be drinking more liquids curbing your appetite.

I guess I look at losing weight as everything else in life. If you don't put in the time, then nothing good will come of it.
The red tea diet may be an aid in losing weight, but I can't see it as being a quick fix. Otherwise everyone would be doing it.
It would be nice to have a magic pill to make us skinny, but that is not the case. We have to work hard, count calories, and exercise.
So, I guess I don't really care if someone has great success with this diet, it's just another excuse not to do what is right. Which is to eat healthy and exercise. Like I said before it can be an aid in dieting, but nothing will replace the diet and exercise.

Thank you for your replies.
I never wait to have too much weight to lose. When I'm at 8 or 9 pounds overweight I start a diet. Generally I lose it pretty fast as I do exercice also.
I've already tried Scarsdale, Atkins(not good!) and hypocaloric diets, fats diets and so on. Generally when you diet right you lose weight, the problem is that I love too much pastries and I go back.
Well, we all know how to lose weight the big problem is to do the right things everyday.
I think I'll try red tea diet for a while, 5 days is not too long
